Visit Upgarage on my behalf! Honestly though, if you are so inclined, see if people on here need any mad JDM parts yo, so you could buy and ship them, and probably make a bit of money while you're at it.

Shizuoka is literally on the way for me to go to Kanagawa, so if you can go there the same day I do and you need a ride... ;)
When do you plan on coming here?

I believe mid July. And that would be awesome! It's an exchange program thing, so I probably won't have the option to drive. Any good car events in the area?

Hum, I don't know really...
And if it's mid-july and after, I should be free... I will be in France and Germany all June but July and August, I'll have free time.
How old are you though? In order to rent the cars without supervision (ie: outside of the Initial D tour), you have to be 25 year old or over.
If you are under 25, your only solution to enjoy a few a of these cars is to do the "Initial D Tour" which is quite a bit more expensive and "less fun" (sort of) as I'm sure you will get a tap on the fingers if you get the rear of the car a bit loose at times...

Well, 375$ for 7 hours in a R34 GTR with a Tour guide who drives you around the best roads around is not too bad I think. Or something cheaper... the day in AE86 is 290$ with the guide.
Of course, it costs this much if there are 4 other people with you. If you are alone, you have to pay an additionnal 185$...
But if you are very rarely travelling here, it's, I think , something to do...

I only know of Shin-Maiko Sunday which I will go to sometimes soon and that is quite close from my home. I will go pretty soon to check it out.
I know there is an "ex-wangan racers" meet on a parking lot once in a while at night somewhere around Tokyo's Wangan and probably a hell of a lot more that I don't know about.

Last question, how many people there speak English? I know it's low, but how low?

Low like, pretty much nobody :)
You will struggle if you are not used to it and don't speak a word of Japanese... They MIGHT understand a few words, just enough for them to somewhat understand what you mean if you use a very strong japanese accent. But you can pretty much go there considering already that nobody will understand you if you don't speak a minimum of Japanese.

I think it's the worst country in term of english knowledge I've ever been to...
Lots of people with high paying jobs in big international companies don't speak a word of english. Really crazy.
The insularity of the ocuntry pretty much cuts it with any relations with what is going on outside of Japan too. On TV the only thing you see all day long are comedians commenting cat videos from youtube and people talking about food and meals from here and there. Their relation to the outside world is TV shows with the same comedians commenting on cat videos, in which they "visit" other countries, by once again, trying out the food and the spas (onsen)
It's quite a cultural shock to say the least, for people who come here for extend stays. Some can't stand it and leave very quickly, others love it and a third category, like me, are quite annoyed by it, but oh well, why not :)
Be ready to struggle if you are alone and don't speak at all the language :)
But it will be a unique and unforgetable experience for sure :)
